Jared Utterback自从１６岁开始就演奏结他吉它，并参与写歌作曲．。他在音乐的不同领域都有涉猎-既曾在摇滚乐队演奏，也曾在唱诗班献唱，甚至曾在美国教过初级音乐。自从２００５年以来他一直在中国演出。２００７年，他在中国厦门录制了专辑＂希望＂。现在他和妻子及两名女儿居于四川省。
