“손에 키를 들고 자기의 타작 마당을 정하게 하사 알곡은 모아 곳간에 들이고 쭉정이는 꺼지지 않는 불에 태우 시리라”

쭉정이에서 알곡을 분리한다는 것은, 질 나쁜 것을 좋은 것에서부터 분리해 낸다 라는 의미입니다.

기원과 적용

탈곡할 때, 쭉정이는 알곡에서 분리되어 버립니다. 이 표현은 성경에서 약함과 잘못된 교리를 진리에서 구분해 낸다는 비유로 쓰입니다.
