기원과 적용

사울이 이스라엘의 왕이 되었을 때, 그는 30세였습니다. 하나님의 선택된 선지자 사무엘에게 기름부음 받은 그는 온전히 하나님의 명령에 순종하지 않았습니다. 오히려 그 자신의 소견에 따라 행동했습니다. 이 구절에서는 사무엘이 사울을 타이르고 그에게 주님께서 이스라엘을 지도할 하나님과 같은 마음을 품은 누군가를 선택하셨다고 말합니다. 그 사람은 이스라엘 역사의 유명한 왕인 다윗입니다.
