Beatitudes산 에서 그의 유명한 설교 중에 예수님은 군중들에게 말씀하셨습니다. “거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말며 너희 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말라 그들이 그것을 발로 밟고 돌이켜 너희를 찢어 상하게 할까 염려하라.” 돼지의 또 다른 말은 “swine” 입니다. 돼지에게 진주를 던진다는 의미는 당신이 던져주는 것이 가치가 있는지 없는지 모르는 사람에게 그것을 제공하는 것이나 마찬가지라는 말입니다.
