Meaning

The name refers to “acquired” or “a spear” in Hebrew. According to Genesis in the Old Testament, Adam and Eve gave birth to their first son Cain who committed the first murder in history by slaying his younger brother Abel because he was jealous of Abel’s offering being favoured by God.
