Ezra 7:1

Meaning

It is of Hebrew origin which carries the meaning of “help” or “aid”. In the Old Testament, Ezra was a prophet and also called a scribe, a priest and a teacher of the Law of God. He devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel. Ezra wrote the Book of Ezra while his story appeared in the Book of Nehemiah as well.
