Luke 1

Meaning

It came from the Greek name Λουκας (Loukas), meaning “man from Lucania (a region in Italy)”. He was the author of the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts in the New Testament. He was a doctor by profession and travelled with Paul to spread the gospel. He dedicated his life to serve the Lord till his death at 84 years old unmarried.
