Bible Verse

2 Corinthians 2:13

Meaning

It was a Roman given name, probably meaning Latin titulus “title of honour”. Titus was a fellow worker of Paul in the New Testament, and he was also the recipient of one of Paul’s epistles—the Book of Titus. It was believed that Paul ordained Titus to be the pastor at Gortyn, the first Christian church in Crete.
