意味
ある事のアルファとオメガとは、その始まりと終わりを示している。
由来と応用
アルファとオメガはギリシャ語である。アルファはギリシャ語アルファベットの最初の文字であり、オメガは最後の文字である。アルファとオメガを合わせて、すべて込みの、すべてを含む範囲を意味する。 神である主、今おられ、かつておられ、やがて来られる方、全能者がこう言われる。「わたしはアルファであり、オメガである。」
