Aaron (Exodus 4:14)

「山」または「高い」という意味を持つヘブル語「Aharon」が原語。旧約では、アロンはモーセの兄であり、またモーセの代弁者でもあった。彼は杖を持ち、パロの前でその杖を蛇に変えるという不思議を行った。後に、モーセとともにエジプトから導き出したイスラエル人の最初の高等祭司となった。
