Ezra エズラ

意味：ヘブル語の起源で、「助け」とか「援助」という意味です。旧約聖書で、エズラは預言者であり、また、書記官、祭司、神の律法の学者とも呼ばれています。彼は、主の律法の研究と遵守に熱心に取り組み、そしてイスラエルのおきてと法を教えることに専心しました。

エズラはエズラ記を著しましたが、彼の話はネヘミヤ記にも出てきます。
