Jude ジュード

意味：この名前はヘブル語の「讃美」とか「感謝」という意味の言葉に起源を持っています。「ジュードJude」は、「ユダJudas」の変形で、（英語の）新約聖書では、ユダJudeという二番目の弟子（副名タダイ）と、やはり弟子であったイスカリオテのユダJudasとを区別するのに使われています。二番目の弟子の方のユダは、彼が著したと信じられている「ユダの手紙」の中で、ヤコブの兄弟だと書かれています。
