기원과 적용

사마리아가 어디있습니까? 이곳은 예루살렘의 북쪽 팔레스타인 땅을 말합니다. 유대인들은 유대정통 혈종이 아닌 사마리아인들을 멸시했습니다. 누가복음에서 예수님께서 말씀하십니다. 레위부족으로써 존경을 받는 유대인인 제사장이나 레위인들은 강도맞은 그 유대인을 도왔어야 했음을 말입니다. 하지만 이들이 아닌 한 사마리아인에게 진정한 도움을 받은 한 유대인의 이야기를 하십니다. 선한 사마리아인은 도움이 필요한 사람에게 도움을 주는 사람을 말합니다. 이와 동명의 자선 단체인 홍콩의 “the Samaritan Be frienders”는 고통받는 자들에게 상담전화를 해주는 단체로써 1960년에 창립되었습니다. 많은 나라가 “Good Samaritan Acts”를 가지고 있고 이 단체는 병원 밖 응급상황(예-비행기 안)에 놓인 사람들에게 의사를 보내 치료를 해줍니다. 하지만 치료에 대한 책임을 지지는 않습니다.
