To press on toward the mark is to press through every difficulty to reach your aim.
Paul the apostle, in his letter to the church at Philippi spoke of his determination to press on toward the goal for which he was called by Christ. He asked disciples to forget what has been made perfect in the past, and strive for what lies ahead by walking in God’s path.
