bible verse
“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:25)
origin and application
At face value, a camel through the eye of a needle is something impossible. A rich man asked Jesus what he ought to do to inherit eternal life. Jesus looked at him and loved him, and asked him to sell everything he had in order to follow him. The man looked sad and went away. For the rich to enter the Kingdom of God is as hard as a camel going through the eye of a needle, Jesus said to his disciples.
