Genesis 2:7

meaning

The name means “man” in Hebrew and is also associated with a Hebrew word “adama” meaning “earth” from which, according to Genesis in the Old Testament, God created Adam. Adam and Eve were the first humans who lived in the Garden of Eden until they committed the original sin by eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Some claimed the word also carry the meaning “to be red” which stands for the reddish colour of human skin.
